Релиз причудливый: чего там Кэндис пела до знакомства с Ричи, я не знаю (говорят, что-то под гитару на радио), но тут явно прослеживается попытка остаться в узнаваемом стиле, но при этом и добавить чего-то нового. Этим мне альбом напомнил сольные проекты Меркьюри, из которых явно следовало, что без Дикона, Мэя и Тейлора он - банальный эстрадник с уклоном в диско-поп. Здесь разделение более жёсткое: несколько вещей в стиле "Блэкморс Найт", а несколько - в стиле американского поп-кантри

Альбом продолжает идеи предыдущего, только песни немного менее яркие, но более хорошо и плотно аранжированные. Появилась даже композиция в стиле "новой волны", правда, носящая полупародийный характер. Этот альбом выглядит попыткой более доступно сыграть ранний материал."I Can See Your House From Here" слушается с удовольствием, но без восторга. В этом смысле, его можно сравнить с "Who Do We Think We Are" Deep Purple, то же ощущение - великая группа переутомилась.

Название "Bachman Turner Overdrive" было сокращено до аббревиатуры "BTO". Пластинка нового состава, "Street Action", получилась неплохой, но явно не дотягивала до ранних работ "Овердрайва". Не спасла положения и следующая работа, "Rock'n'Roll Nights", для участия в которой впервые были привлечены композиторы со стороны (Брайан Адамс, Ди Саймондс и Джим Валланс). В результате, в 1979 году было принято решение о роспуске группы.

В 1990 году Barclay James Harvest издают неплохой и совершенно не претендующий ни на какое открытие альбом «Welcome To The Show». Alliance's 3rd album Road to Heaven is amazing! I was instantly hooked from the first notes of the title track. I would even go so far as to rank this as one of my favorite albums of all time. Everything from this band has been pure gold, which is not at all surprising given the band members. This band is composed of four extremely talented musicians, who have more talent per man than any current artists you'll hear on the radio. With Road to Heaven I loved just about every song from the awesome opening to the amazing closing. Robert Berry as always sounds fantastic, and it is a sham...

"Xanadu" is the title song from the soundtrack of the 1980 musical film of the same name. Written by Jeff Lynne of the English rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), the song is performed by British and Australian singer, songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John, with Lynne adding parenthetic vocals in the style of his other songs on the Xanadu soundtrack, and ELO providing the instrumentation. It was Lynne's least favourite of his own songs.

Time is a work of synth-pop that combines elements from 1950s music, new wave, reggae, rockabilly, the Beatles, Phil Spector and the Shadows.
