Beautiful World is the fourth studio album by the British pop group Take That. Released on 24 November 2006, and was the band's first studio album in 11 years; it was also the band's first album to be released as a four-piece instead of classic five-piece, which without Robbie Williams, who had quit the group in 1995 and did not rejoin them until 2010. Five singles were released from the album: "Patience", "Shine", "I'd Wait for Life", the European-only single "Reach Out", and "Rule the World", which appeared on the deluxe tour edition.

It was an attempt to showcase their recent remixes and possibly recreate some of the critical success of the earlier remix collection Disco, however Disco 2 is one of the Pet Shop Boys' most poorly received albums by critics and fans. The tracks on the CD were mixed into one long continuous megamix by DJ Danny Rampling. As a result, most of the tracks are in edited versions, having been cut off mid-way through in a crossfade into the following tracks (as a DJ might do while mixing music live). Some of the tracks were reduced by more than half of their original lengths in this way. In addition, some tracks were sped up or slowed down, in order to match the overall tempo of the mix.

Мощный и мрачный, мелодичный и брутальный с каким-то пророческим настроением, что кажется, конец света должен наступить завтра. Ни одной проходной песни. Для меня, как для старого поклонника группы, этот альбом можно поставить наравне с «Wolfheart» (1995). Единственное, что огорчает - это короткое время звучание альбома, но было сказано, что альбом выйдет с бонус треками, я надеюсь, что они всё-таки скажутся на продолжительности.

Journal for Plague Lovers is the ninth studio album by Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers, released in May 2009 by record label Columbia. Recorded between October 2008 and February 2009 and produced by Steve Albini and Dave Eringa, it features exclusively posthumous-published lyrics by Richey Edwards, who disappeared on 1 February 1995 and was presumed deceased in 2008. It is the only Manic Street Preachers album in which the lyrics for every song were written solely by Edwards.
The album received a very positive critical reception and debuted at number 3 in the UK Albums Chart.

The song was written in collaboration with Lori Lieberman, who recorded the song in late 1971. In 1973 it became a number-one hit in the US and Canada for Roberta Flack, also reaching number six in the UK Singles Chart. The song has since been covered by numerous artists, including the version by the Fugees, which won the 1997 Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

Если проводить параллели с немного сыроватым дебютом одного с группой названия, то тут всё стало покачественнее и почище в плане звука, в плане же инструментальной работы изменений не очень. Теперь это уже можно назвать полноценным готическим думом, без всяких дэтовых припадков прошлого, как на “Театре Трагедии” 1995-го года. Злобы и кое-какой страшной атмосферы, изредка парящей в атмосфере дебютника, не осталось; гроулинг как мне показалось, остался лишь для того, чтобы придать немного контраста композициям. В целом же впечатление такое: очень спокойная музыка. И невероятно красивая. Уклон, как я уже говорил, сделан всё-таки на клавиши и оркестровки, которые опять выполняют роль поставщика основного (всего?) мелодизма на этом творении, раз за разом выводя хоть и простые, но проникновенные и чувственные пассажи, а также на вокальные данные вокалистов.
